As mentioned above, a crumble is a dessert from Britain that\u2019s made with a layer of fruit covered with a mix of flour, sugar and butter and baked. Here are our tips to make the perfect crumble, every time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Add Flavour to Your Fruit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can enhance the natural flavour of the fruit by adding spices or liqueurs. Our suggestions include: star anise, cinnamon, sweet wine, brandy, or amaretto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few tablespoons of apricot jam and a dash of orange juice are also great if you want to enhance the flavour while reducing the sugar in the crumble topping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Use a Little Cornstarch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding a little bit of cornstarch to cut fruit that contains lots of juice, such as pears, will ensure that the crumble topping doesn\u2019t absorb too much fruity liquid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.
