Ingredients
  • 1 2/3 c. Fourmi Bionique Euphoric (or your favourite flavor)
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • ¾ c. butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, beat butter with brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla and beat until smooth. Set aside.
  • In a second bowl, mix dry ingredients.
  • With a spatula, incorporate dry ingredients to butter mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Place oven grill on center rack and preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Line cookie sheet with parchment paper and place 1-inch balls 2 inches apart.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven once golden. Remove cookies from sheet, place on cooling racks and cool completely.
  • Yield: 24-30 cookies

Option 1:
100 g dark chocolate
1/3 c. Fourmi Bionique Natural granola
1 tbsp orange zest
¼ c. almonds

Option 2 :
100 g dark chocolate
1/3 c. Fourmi Bionique Natural granola
1/3 c. candied ginger

Option 3 :
100g white chocolate
1/3 c. Fourmi Bionique Natural granola
1/3 c. walnuts
1 tbsp ground coffee beans

Suggestion: Replace Fourmi Bionique Natural granola with Fourmi Bionique Euphoric granola with milk chocolate and salted caramel chunks.

Melt chocolate in a double-boiler. Remove from heat. Add Fourmi Bionique Natural granola and chosen ingredients and combine (you may choose to reserve a small quantity of ingredients such as orange zest, candied ginger or ground coffee beans to sprinkle on top, at the end). Spread the mix on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet as thinly as possible. Sprinkle remaining ingredients on top. Place in refrigerator to cool. Once thoroughly cooled break into pieces. Enjoy.

Natural Crusted Pork

In a bowl, whisk together one egg white and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. In a separate bowl, place ½ cup of previously refined LFB Natural Granola (mash with a mortar and pestle or use your food processor). Dip 2-6 oz. each pounded thin pork tenderloin into the egg mixture, allow the excess to drip off, then dredge in the refined Natural Granola.

Place the breaded pork on a plate and refrigerate for 15 minutes to an hour to set the crust. Place 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter or vegetable oil in a large sauté pan and heat over medium high heat. Place the pork in the pan and cook each side for about 6 minutes or until pork is cooked as desired. Remove from heat and serve with the applesauce, chutney or fruit jelly.

Essential Stuffed Apples

Remove the cores from 4 apples (do not remove the skin). Fill each one with 200 ml (¾ cup) of LFB Essential Granola. Place the apples in a pan and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes or until the apples become tender. Drizzle with maple syrup and top with yogurt.

Riopelle rolled in Vitality

Remove the rind from a Riopelle cheese (are any soft rind cheese), cut into bite-size wedges. Roll each wedge in LFB Vitality Granola. Serve on baby greens gently tossed with a balsamic vinaigrette.

Aphrodisiac Almond Butter Bites

Cover a cookie pan with a baking sheet or a plastic film. Set aside. Put 100 mL (1/3 cup) of almond butter in a blender. Add 62 mL (1/4 cup) of honey and add two pinches of salt. Mix until smooth. Add 375 mL (1 ½ cup) of LFB Aphrodisiac Granola. Mix with a wooden spoon until smooth. If the dough is not compact enough, add two spoons (15 to 30 mL) of granola and mix a few seconds more, then add 85mL (1/3 cup) cranberries. Spread 85 mL (1/3 cup) of coconut on a plate.

Take a spoonful (5mL) of Aphrodisiac dough and make a ball. Roll into the coconut and place on the cookie pan. Proceed with the rest of the mix, placing each bite at distance of about 1.3 cm (1/2 inch) from one another. Refrigerate bites for 40 minutes. They will keep for a week in the refrigerator separated by wax paper.

Ruth's Chia Apple Crisp

Combine 7 sliced apples, ½ cup of sliced dried apricots, ¼ cup of raisins, ½ tsp. of cinnamon, ½ tsp. Mix in ¼ cup of honey and ¼ cup of raw sugar or ½ an orange, and ¼ cup of Chia.

Pour into 8- by 13-inch pan, coated with coconut oil. Top with 1 ½ cups of LFB granola (we prefer Essential or Natural blends), ¼ cup of loose hemp and ¼ cup of coconut oil. Bake at 375 for a ½ hour.

Essential Banana Delight

Using a blender, mix together 1/4 cup of natural yogurt with a banana and 1 to 2 soupspoons of lemon juice (to taste). Put the creamy liquid into a bowl and generously sprinkle with grilled walnuts and LFB Essential granola. (Makes 1 to 2 portions).

Divine Choco-Yogurt Mousse

Whip ½ cup of whipping cream until fluffy and then, using a spatula, gently fold in ½ cup of natural yogurt (2%). Add 3 to 5 soupspoons of cacao powder (or to taste). Refrigerate for 1 hour. Put the mixture into sundae dishes and sprinkle LFB Divine granola over the top. (Makes 2 portions).

A Dishful of Vitality

Prepare a fruit salad of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, bananas... whatever you fancy. Cut the fruit into small pieces. Cover with vanilla yogurt and sprinkle with LFB Vitality granola. For a more elegant dessert, macerate the fruits in a 1/4 cup of dark rum, Grand Marnier, Sambuca or Frangelico for at least an hour. Cover with whipped up vanilla cream for more decadence… or, if you’re feeling sensible, a mix of half yogurt, half whipped cream.

Aphrodisiac Snack

Melt 100 g of black chocolate (ideally 70 % cacao). To spice things up a bit, add a pinch of cayenne or espelette pepper (to taste). Mix ¼ to ½ cup of LFB Aphrodisiac granola into the melted chocolate making sure to cover the cereals with the chocolate. Spread the mixture on waxed paper and refrigerate for an hour.

Break into pieces and serve as a snack or take some on your hike or cross-country ski trip. For something more fruity… add some dried fruits or nuts (raisins, grilled almonds, dried cranberries…) or for some warmth… why not add pieces of candied ginger ? (makes 1 to 2 portions…if you feel like sharing !!).

Banana Granola To Go

Mash a banana (or two) with your favourite LFB granola blend and spread it generously between two pieces of crispy baguette. Et voilà - a tasty, easy to eat sandwich – to go.
